IT’S ALL A TEST An inquisitive girl is convinced her dead father will soon be resurrected, certain he has died to test their love for him. However, when the corpse begins to rot, the girl is forced to reconsider the situation. Thrilling! This short is able to bring mass tension to the table through intense reading, passionate writing, patience and thrilling concepts. The short (although airing on the longer side) was able to pull the audience in using all of the listed tactics above. Although some minor pacing issues this film is definitely worth a watch and has the capabilities to easily make a 90 minute cut with some expansion on plot, added scenes, bigger budget, ect. Not much to say here but I would certainly recommend it 89%

WHO ARE YOU? WHO WERE YOU?At a country manor in Edwardian England, a parlor trick becomes a bewitching, as one of the guests gets his dark desire. ah, Existential horror. The most underrated subgenre around. From the moment a frame hits the screen you are submerged in atmosphere and tone. The scripting feels so perfectly crafted as if each line was specifically tailored to be spoken the way it was. The short feels flawless, every error feels like it was put there for a reason and the horror aspect of the short is bone chilling. every single line, detail, and prop in this short is lovable and worth your time for a short and story bordering on flawless. RAting: 100%There’s something in Lindsay’s apartment… Props to this short for having an intelligent lead character! The short has a great utilization of lighting, writing, and suspence. The short gives you just enough content to tell the audience what they need to know and nothing more. The monster (although a little cheap looking) is effective and we see it just enough to be spooked. This one is enjoyable and I would recommend it rating: 78% |
